Online Process For Central Government

1. Visit the official RTI Online Portal website.

3. Type your question in the online form (up to 3,000 characters). If your question is longer, you may upload a PDF file.
4. Pay the RTI fee using internet banking, a debit/credit card, or UPI.
5. Submit your application after payment.
6. You will receive a registration number to track the status of your application.

Offline Process For Rajasthan State Government

1. Identify the department from which you wish to request information.
2. Obtain the RTI form from the department’s website or office.
3. Fill out the form with your name, address, and the details of the information you are requesting.
4. Attach any required documents.
5. Pay the RTI fee as instructed by the department (cash, Demand Draft, etc.).
6. Submit the completed form and the payment receipt to the Public Information Officer (PIO).
7. Keep a copy of the submitted form and payment receipt for your records.

• The online RTI process for the Central Government applies only to information requests.
• For RTI requests to Rajasthan State Government departments, only offline forms are accepted.

Once you have created an account on the RTI portal, you can log in:

1. Visit the login page on the RTI portal.
2. Enter the email address you used during registration.
3. Enter your password.
4. Click the Login button to access your account.

What if I Forget My Password?

Don’t worry. Follow these steps to reset your password:

1. On the login page, click the Forgot Password link.
2. On the next screen, enter your registered email address.
3. Check your email inbox.
4. Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password.
5. Once verified, return to the login page and enter your new password.

After you submit your RTI application, it is easy to check its status online. Follow these steps to check the status of your application:

First, log into the RTI portal. Then, click the “Application Status” section. Enter your RTI application number or registration ID to check the latest status of your request.

The updates you receive will indicate where your request stands:

• Your application has been received, but processing has not yet started.
• Officials are working on your request.
• Your information has been provided, and the case is closed.
